The Amazing Story

Capoeira is said to have originated in Brazil, where African slaves plotted their escape. Since teaching one another how to fight could get them killed - they instead disguised their martial art as a beautiful dance.

Today, Capoeira contains powerful elements of self-defense - but it’s more of a fun, powerful workout, and a competitive sport. Matches between opponents are almost like full-body conversations that evolve and grow in intensity as the match goes on, much like a dance.

A Full-Body Workout

If getting in shape is your top goal, Capoeira won’t leave you disappointed. The movements require extreme control over your body, and will have you using muscle groups that you may have not even known existed.

The movements build long, lean muscle, endurance, and power.

In every class, we do full-body conditioning drills as well that work you from head to toe, giving you a great cardio-resistance workout.

If your goal is to some day travel and train throughout Brazil, we'll help you get there. As seriously as you want to take your training, we’ll push you and challenge you to exceed your limits and amaze yourself.
